The Gospel Of Truth
This website is to attract the seekers for truth who are willing to obey God on every point of truth without a single compromise with sin.
What Is Sin?—For Sin Is The Transgression Of The Law
The perfect gospel of truth—“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” Matthew 24:14. “For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.” Romans 5:13.
“Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.” Romans 3:20.
“Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.” 1 John 3:4.
The gospel is centered around one great theme—obedience to the sacred law of God by the power of the Holy Spirit. The gospel of Jesus Christ is given to save souls from sin.
“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.” Matthew 1:21.
The whole plan of salvation was designed by God to find the seeker for truth willing to obey all truth without a single compromise with truth. Disobedience brought sin and death.
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23.
“Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. . . . For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.” Romans 6:12, 14-15.
The Grace Of God
Grace is the unmeasured power of God’s love for man. Man can not produce grace. It is a gift of God.
The Events Of Sin
Those who disobey to the sacred law of God are the servants of sin.
“For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:20-23. Let us remember that death is the reward for disobedience.
Can men possibly obey God’s sacred law?
Yes, by the power of the Holy Spirit, we can do all things in Christ by the Holy Spirit’s power.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9.
God’s Grace Is Only For Those Who Are Willing To Be Obedient To Known Truth
“But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine: That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience. The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded. In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you. Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again; Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things. For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.” Titus 2:1-15.
God is not saving churches or denominations, but only those who are willing to obey. “For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.” Titus 3:3-8.
How Can We Be Sure That There Will Never Be Another Rebellion?
Only by a willing heart to obey known truth without a single compromise with sin. How will obedience to the sacred law of God prepare us for eternal life?—Obedience develops our character.
“True obedience is the outworking of a principle within. It springs from the love of righteousness, the love of the law of God. The essence of all righteousness is loyalty to our Redeemer. This will lead us to do right because it is right—because right doing is pleasing to God.” Christ’s Object Lessons, 97-98.
“None are so vile, none have fallen so low, as to be beyond the working of this power. In all who will submit themselves to the Holy Spirit a new principle of life is to be implanted; the lost image of God is to be restored in humanity.” Ibid., 96. These inspired statements come from the pen of inspired writers.
What Does Loving Obedience Do For The Soul Of The Sinner?
“The soul is never safe unless it is under the divine guidance. Then it will be led into all truth. The word of Christ will fall with living power upon obedient hearts; and through the application of divine truth the perfect image of God will be reproduced, and in heaven it will be said: ‘Ye are complete in Him.’ ” Testimonies, vol. 6, 167.
Obedience Creates Righteousness By Faith The Sinner Becomes A New Creature In Christ Jesus
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17. “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” John 15:4-7.
Obedience In Christ
Obeying in Christ is walking with Him—believing in His word—the Holy Scriptures. “The Scriptures are the great agency in the transformation of character. . . . If studied and obeyed, the word of God works in the heart, subduing every unholy attribute. The Holy Spirit comes to convict of sin, and the faith that springs up in the heart works by love to Christ, conforming us in body, soul, and spirit to His own image. Then God can use us to do His will. The power given us works from within outwardly, leading us to communicate to others the truth that has been communicated to us.” Christ’s Object Lessons, 100.
“Through the Scriptures the Holy Spirit speaks to the mind, and impresses truth upon the heart. Thus He exposes error, and expels it from the soul. It is by the Spirit of truth, working through the word of God, that Christ subdues His chosen people to Himself.” The Desire of Ages, 671.
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15.
“Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.” John 5:39.
“These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” Acts 17:11.
Not What Man Can Do, But By The Power Of The Holy Spirit
The thief on the cross, this illustration has confused many—that God can save us in our sins. Let us understand this, the thief was so sorry for sin that he wanted to stop sinning, but he could not until he cried out, “remember me when you come to your Kingdom.” In that moment—his sorrow for sin—Christ could justify him. He could not be baptized, so Christ’s baptism covered him. He could not return what he had stolen, but in that very moment he was justified because of his true repentance.
“Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing. For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.” 2 Corinthians 7:9-10.
He was truly repentant. He recognized Jesus as his Messiah, his Saviour, and now the Holy Spirit was able to take charge of his life until he died. He was sanctified. Justification and sanctification can never be separated. They belong to each other. They are the true gospel of Christ—saved from sin.
“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:” Romans 5:1.
“Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.” 1 Thessalonians 5:5-6.
“For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour.” 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4.
“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Thessalonians 5:23.
Your character is the only way God can be sure He can place you in Heaven to inherit His creation of the new and perfect world.
Let us remember, the thief on the cross was counted righteous because of his sorrow for sin. His repentance was perfect and God saw he was safe to save. The end of our world is now before us. Let us now study to show ourselves approved unto God; and to our fellow men, that we believe in overcoming all cultivated tendencies to sin. Without perfect holiness no man shall see God.
“Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.” Hebrews 12:14.
“Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” 2 Corinthians 7:1.
This is the saving gospel of Jesus Christ. Saved in sinning is the devil’s gospel.
